RING, RING / Let us Make a Call / What is happening to our Vocal Chords? / Writing BLOG / Horror BLOG

I was thinking today, yes, it's rare at times for my brain to conjure such a conundrum, but it did and a thought sparked. Why have I submitted to text messaging? What happened to all the number memorizing that I've done in my past? How do I dare stray from text messages and lean back into the idea of actually talking to my friends, connections, and loved ones?

My idea and questions may be just that an idea or an unanswered question. An idea that floats in the ether and never comes to fruition, just like so many that have passed before it. Or, maybe I'll just open up my contacts list, you know the thing that replaced that memory game of numbers in the olden days of LAND Lines. I will press the phone icon within the contact and ring the number.

I can imagine my sweaty palms and my quivering lips as I try to remember how to actually have a conversation. I'll have to remember social queues, you know the queues that signal it's a good time to start talking and the back and forth that used to exist during said conversation? I will make small talk, because in order to go through my list, it's going to take a month, maybe more. Perhaps the people who don't exist any more, or whose phone number's have changed, I'll delete. I can feel productive like all the techno-addicts of the world, for some reason production now is completing a task with a check mark, deleting an email, or pressing like on a social media platform. I don't think so, but many of the world will agree that production has taken on different meaning. But, that is another BLOG.....
